The Lodger Coming to DVD
The remake of The Lodger, which fared poorly at the box office, is now coming out on DVD. The site shocktillyoudrop.com has a few clips of the movie.

Overall, I think the movie was an interesting attempt. The factual material concerning the Ripper is hit and miss, and the movie even goofs up when it tries to change the source material to fit its own agenda, as the number of murders is increased to six and the original victims' order of killing is changed, then changed again.

Still, Alfred Molina gives a good, world-weary performance and Simon Baker is sufficiently creepy--although he isn't in the movie enough to make much of an impact.
